VETYVER or Chrysopogon zizanioïdes L Native of the South of India this plant is a tropical grass.

The simplicity of this plant is only appearance. Its roots sink in more than three metres deep in the ground.

It is by distillation of its big roots that we extract the vetyver essential oil with such a subtle perfume.

This oil enters the composition of more than two hundred upscale fragrances the most famous of which is Chanel N°5.

Many other fragrance designers, such as Givenchy or Lanvin chose this essential oil for the elaboration of their prestigious fragrances.

The vetyver roots also possess medicinal properties.

They turn out fighting against some skin diseases.

The vetyver also holds natural insecticidal properties, allowing to fight against mosquitoes and clothes moth.
